Sports attire for winners
THE top three winners from each of the nine competitive categories of the Ipoh Star-walk 2009 will take home Joma apparels.
Ever Well Sports (M) Sdn Bhd has stepped in yet again for the fourth time to sponsor the annual event and this time, it is offering about RM10,000 worth of prizes.
Its administrative manager Michelle Chow said first prize winners in all nine competitive categories would each receive a Joma jersey.
“Second placing winners will win a Joma Polo T-shirt while third place winners will take home a Joma round-collared T-shirt,” she said after presenting the sponsorship to The Star’s advertising representative Tan Cheok Tong in Ipoh yesterday.

Chow said Joma also sponsored the Perak, Kuala Muda Naza and KL PLUS football teams in the local football scene.
She added that Joma was also sponsoring Spanish La Liga football teams Deportivo Coruna and Sevilla FC.
Apart from clothing, the company was also well known for their footwear like the Joma Marathon 3,000 running shoes.
Ipoh Starwalk 2009 is jointly orga-nised by Star Publications (M) Bhd and the Ipoh City Council with the co-operation of the Perak Government, Perak Amateur Athletics Association and Perak Education Department in conjunction with Ipoh city’s 21st anniversary.
It will be flagged off at 7am on June 21 from Stadium Indera Mulia.
Registration is open from 9am to 5pm on weekdays, except public holidays, at The Star’s Ipoh office at 39, Jalan Hussein.
